Craftsman-style tapered columns lend a nostalgic look to this otherwise contemporary cottage. These columns support this home's covered porch, which spans the front and wraps around to the right. A sparkling row of multipaned windows runs across the top of the garage door.
Other Craftsman touches include stone veneer column supports and decorative gable accents, plus multipaned window uppers on three sides of the home.
Inside, the foyer segues into a hallway that cuts right down the middle, dividing the house into two sides. Bedrooms and bathrooms comprise the right wing. A comfortably spacious family living area fills out the left side, behind the utility room and two-car garage up front.
Enter from the garage to the kitchen/gathering space via the utility room or through the foyer with its extended passageway running by two bedroom hallways on the right, along with coat and storage closets on the left.
The central living area gets loads of natural light from the windows on the rear wall. There is a corner gas fireplace and sliding glass door access to the partially covered patio. This area is connected to the C-shaped kitchen by a raised eating bar.
The owners' suite has a roomy walk-in closet and a two-section bathroom with a double vanity and a large shower. One linen closet is tucked into the passageway to the suite. A similar linen closet is in the hallway to the secondary bedrooms and main bathroom.
What's Included
Each plan set is drawn at 1/4"=1' scale and includes the following drawings:
Cover Sheet/Artist's Rendering: An artist's drawing of the home, usually viewed from the front, and general construction notes.
Elevations: Shows the front, sides, and rear, including exterior materials, trim sizes, roof pitches, etc.
Main Floor Plan: Shows placement and dimensions of walls, doors, & windows. Includes the location of appliances, plumbing fixtures, beams, ceiling heights, etc.
Second Floor Plan (if any): Shows the second floor in the same detail as the main floor. Includes second floor framing and details.
Foundation Plan: Shows the location of all concrete footings, floor beams, first floor framing, and foundation details. If there is a basement, a basement plan is included which shows all basement details. Foundation types vary; please call to confirm the foundation type of the plan you are interested in.
Roof Framing Plan: Shows roof outlines, conventional framing/trusses, beams, roof framing details, etc. Specific details such as fireplaces, stairways, decks, etc. Details are drawn at 1/2" = 1' scale, and appear as needed throughout the prints.
Building Section: Shows a cross-section of the home. Shows support members, exterior and interior materials, insulation, and foundation.
Electrical Plan: A schematic layout of all lighting, switches, and electrical outlets.

Architectural or Engineering Stamp - handled locally if required
Site Plan - handled locally when required
Mechanical Drawings (location of heating and air equipment and duct work) - your subcontractors handle this
